Tina Jones

Actor and writer


Tina (as Christina Jones), is also an accomplished writer of libretti for contemporary opera and music theatre. She won Best New Musical with Pin Money Opera for Babel Theatre. Her writing work includes: Timepiece(composer Roxanna Panufnik). She has collaborated with composer Julian Grant on a number of occasions, writing the libretti for several pieces including a large-scale community opera called Heroes Don’t Dance, commissioned by the Royal Opera House; Platform 10 (part of Shorts by Tête à Tête opera company; Odd Numbers (part of Six Pack) for Tête à Tête and English National Opera, A Very Private Beach for ENO Studio and Time Flows for Streetwise Opera. Tina wrote the libretto for Shadowtracks for W11 Opera produced at the Britten Theatre and Original Features, for W11 Opera, at the Riverside Studios. Shadowtracks was recently revived for W11 Opera at POSK theatre.
